Features
  • A delicious sample taster of three classic platformer levels, inspired primarily by the Donkey Kong Country series but built for blazingly fast speedrunning - probably 10-30 minutes of gameplay, unless you're speed running it, in which case maybe a minute?
  • Each level features a unique environment and music
  • 3 hidden gems to find in each level
  • An infinite lives cheat, but you'll have to use your head to find it.
  • Fun movement, cute characters!
  • Rebindable Controls!
  • Accessibility options (slow down game speed, give unlimited lives)
  • debug mode for exploration/maybe practicing a tough spot over and over again, but don't be trying to set a record time with it!
  • In level and total game timers with online leaderboards for speed running

Controls
  • Controller is the intended experience
  • You can rebind them, but as default:
    • Movement: Left Joystick / Left D-Pad /  WASD
      • Hold down to fall faster
    • Jump: South Button (Nintendo B, XBox A, PS ❌) / Spacebar
      • Hold jump to jump further
    • Roll/Sprint: West Button (Nintendo Y, XBox X, PS 🟪) / Left Shift / Right Click
      • Hold to maintain speed
    • Pause: Start / Escape
    • Restart: Select / R
      • Doing this costs you a life
"Story"

Draco woke up late on his graduation day and needs to climb the mountain to get his wings! Also someone stole his gems?

Made in a rush for SpeedJam #5, then polished up after!

Known Issues

Sometimes weird stuttering when wall sliding, and a few cosmetic bugs.

Godot has stuttering issues when playing on Windows outside of fullscreen... at least in the editor. So play full screen. :)

Wall jumps store a little too much momentum, but it's fun so go nuts with it.

Really enjoy this game but currently my time does not reset when I run out of lives or use Reset and I'm loading the whole game over from the beginning because I want to try to get on the leaderboard. Going to just try going through the levels without worrying about the time for now, I'm eager to try them all!

Really cool aesthetics!!!!

nice retro

Always really cool to see a video of someone playing a game I made :) thanks for checking it out! Definitely think I should have made things a bit easier to get into, especially with the walljumping, I hope you had fun!

By the way since youtube embeds don’t work on game pages that have SharedArrayBuffer enabled (which I had to for Godot 4 reasons), for anyone curious the link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZi72wYj8d0
